The last T-ball game

T-ball awards ceremony
Getting her trophy, Lokei & Kaira with the Coaches, the cake the coaches had made with the team photo on it.

Kaira and Lokei making teddy bears.
I found a kit with pre-punched holes and plastic needles, so they got to sew and stuff their own bears, and then put clothes on them.

First day at the new house!
Me, Kevin and Kaira posing in front of the house, and our celebratory cake and champagne (juice for Kaira) on our first night.

Boxes, Boxes and more Boxes!!!
Packing and Unpacking is no fun!

Before we could start getting settled into the new house, I had to do some massive cleaning first - cleaning, scrubbing and bleaching just about every surface in the house. The fridge has mystery yellow goo in it, the freezer had black mold, and the floors were all filthy - the first mop bucket is from my first pass on a single room, and the second bucket is the second pass over the same room. Had to do every floor in the whole house!

We had long ago constructed some walls in the old house in the garage to make it a make-shift room during the days when we had a million people living in the house. To get the house ready to rent out, the walls had to come down so the house could be listed as having a garage. Kevin went for the drywall (using all of his ninja moves) and I took down the studs, which I saved - and which will be reincarnated in the August page.

And pictures of the empty house in Baton Rouge on the day that we left :(
It was sad to leave, that's been my house for 8 years... lots of memories in that place!
